The Trip: A typical trip starts when you arrive at our shop. The excursion is explained, boats are chosen, and life jackets are distributed. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable so you are always well served and get what is best for you. Once ready, we bring the voyagers to the put-in which is a short 0.6 km drive from our shop. There, we put the boats in the water and get you started on your pleasant descent. If there is need of assistance such as quick tip on paddling someone with gladly help. As mentioned earlier, the river section is of 8 km. It takes about 2 hours to descend the river but with us, time is of no importance so you are free to take as much time as possible. That is to say that people are able to stop on the river, or just take their time and float down. |

| It is also possible to bring a pick-nick and eat on the river or at one of the 3 places to stop on your way down. Considering a 2 hour trip, the first stopping place is found at 45 minutes from the start. It is a little sand beach just on the right hand side of an island. For people that don't like sitting in the sand the second stop is at 1 hour from the start, and a dock and park with pick-nick tables are available for your use. This park is located in the village of Val-Morin which has a depanneur and restaurant. The final place is at the end of the river at lake Raymon in Val-Morin. Where the boats are taken out, there is another park and yet again tables and a dock. There is also a beach at 1 minute walking distance. |

The return trip can be done by one of two ways. The first is that we come pick you up in the shuttle, the second is a 4.5 km bike ride back. Bikes are waiting for you at the lake, and an employee is there to give and adjust the bikes to fit you perfectly. The return path is on the linear park which is a 200 km path that reaches from Mont-Laurier to St-Jerome and passes both in front of the park and our shop, so there is no need to bike on streets. The time usually taken to travel 4.5km by bike is 10-15 minutes. For those who want to do some sightseeing, a 20 min extension of the bike ride gives you the possibility of seeing some waterfalls and rapids of the North River which is accessible from the bike path. Same as for the kayaks, there is no time limit for the biking part of the excursion, so take your time and enjoy yourself!!!! |
